Bristol’s week in film: September 18-24 2020

Much-acclaimed Britflick Rocks is this week’s big new release. It’s encouraging to see this one getting an outing in the multiplexes as well as its spiritual home, the Watershed. You can also catch a special screening with cast and crew Q&A in selected cinemas on Saturday.

Prefer to go al fresco? The Cube comes out of hibernation (temporarily) for this weekend’s welcome Late Summer Cinema series of outdoor screenings at Grow Wilder.

And if you’ve never seen Parasite director Bong Joon-ho’s magnificent early black comedy Memories of Murder, now’s your chance. It’s getting a much wider release this week than it did back in 2003, when the Bath Film Festival hosted the local premiere.
