The unnamed Protagonist (John David Washington of BlacKkKlansman fame) is charged with preventing World War Three by unravelling some kind of conspiracy and travelling through time. Uh, sorry, not time travel: “inversion” – hence the palindromic title.
Yep, it’s the great Christopher Nolan again with a suitably mind-bending new mash-up of science fiction and espionage thriller. In the Nolan oeuvre, this is closest in tone to Memento and Inception. The supporting cast includes Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy and Bollywood star Dimple Kapadia. And, yes, Nolan’s regular collaborator/talisman Michael Caine is in there too.
