Broken Hearts Gallery

Director
Natalie Krinsky
Certificate
12A
Running Time
109 mins

The “always unique” Lucy (Geraldine Viswanathan) is a twentysomething art gallery assistant living in New York City, who also happens to be an emotional hoarder. After she gets dumped by her latest boyfriend, she’s inspired to create The Broken Hearts Gallery – a pop-up space for the items love has left behind.

Yep, Natalie Krinsky‘s feature debut is boilerplate uplifting romcom stuff, which has the benefit of being released at a time when this is exactly what a large section of the cinema audience craves. Variety‘s verdict: “Watching the film, you know you’re seeing an unabashed spawn of Girls and Sex and the City, a kind of anthropological Williamsburg careerist rom-com set, in this case, in a woke wonderland of post-feminist awareness.
