Bristol’s week in film: December 6-12 2019

No big blockbusters this week, but there are plenty of interesting smaller films, from Ed Norton’s Motherless Brooklyn to Liam Neeson in cancer weepie (no, really) Ordinary Love.

The Jumanji sequel is previewed on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. You can also catch advance screenings of the wokey second remake of Bob Clark’s classic slasher Black Christmas on Thursday.

Should you prefer White Christmas, that’s showing too this week. We’ve included it in our handy round-up of Christmas films for all tastes, from the sappy and sentimental to the peerless Bad Santa.

It’s also the main weekend of the Bristol Palestine Film Festival, whose highlights inlcude a screening and grub at St. George’s.
