Knives Out

Director
Rian Johnson
Certificate
12A
Running Time
130 mins

From oddball indie Brick to popcorn blockbuster Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson is a director who firmly resists pigeonholing. Now he turns his attention to the Agatha Christie-style murder-mystery with a knowing, intricately plotted, reference-stuffed and hugely entertaining whodunit that had critics in paroxysms of joy when it was unveiled at the Toronto Film Festival.

When bestselling mystery writer Christopher Plummer is found dead on the morning after his 85th birthday, dapper drawling gumshoe Daniel Craig has his work cut out solving the mystery, since every single member of the deceased’s extended family (Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Toni Colette, etc) seems to have ample motive.
