Combining stop-motion and 2D animation, this award-nominated film tells the story of Wardi, an eleven-year-old Palestinian girl, who lives with her whole family in the Beirut refugee camp where she was born. Through the testimony of previous generations, she learns about her family’s history stretching all the way back to 1948, when her great-grandfather Sidi became one of the first people to settle in the camp after being chased from his home.

It’s on screen as part of the Bristol Palestine Film Festival.
