Liam Neeson shelved the whupass temporarily (don’t worry, knuckleheads – he’s got a whole bunch of action thrillers in the works) and returned home to Northern Ireland for the first time in a decade to make this romantic cancer weepie.
He and Lesley Manville play a long-married couple whose life is thrown into turmoil when she’s diagnosed with breast cancer. The semi-autobiographical script is by Irish playwright Owen McCafferty.
