Greener Grass

Jocelyn DeBoer, Dawn Luebbe
Running Time
94 mins

Jill and Lisa (debuting co-directors Jocelyn DeBoer and Dawn Luebbe) are stay-at-home soccer moms and passive-aggressive frenemies who reside in a heightened and absurdist version of Stepford suburbia, where everyone drives around in little golf carts.

It’s not long before their striving for perfection takes a turn for the surreal in this black comedy that’s destined for cult status. “It’s like Wes Anderson taking on a Black Mirror instalment…or David Lynch suddenly directing an episode of Desperate Housewives,” was Indiewire‘s verdict. The Cube’s screenings are presented in association with Bird’s Eye View & Reclaim The Frame and will be preceded by a recorded introduction featuring Reclaim The Frame in conversation with Jocelyn DeBoer & Dawn Luebbe.
