Annabelle Comes Home to fulfil your killer doll needs this week. Or if you prefer to keep your horror arch and deadpan, there’s always Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die.
Ron Howard’s Pavarotti doc is the week’s big event cinema release, being beamed to cinemas with a Q&A and all kinds of exciting extra material. On the reissue front, we have The Matrix plus, if you really must, both Matrix sequels in 4K, while original summer blockbuster Jaws also makes a welcome return to multiplexes.
Elsewhere, the Bristol Bad Film Club unleashes a cavemen and spaceships atrocity, there’s another outdoor screening of Bohemian Rhapsody, and several cinemas have weekend previews of the first Horrible Histories flick, Rotten Romans.
