Another high concept romantic comedy from Richard Curtis, anybody? After the underwhelming Trash and About Time, he teams up as writer with equally in need of a hit director Danny Boyle, who returned to the Trainspotting franchise with T2 after failing to set the box office alight with Trance and Steve Jobs.

That high concept in full: a struggling singer-songwriter (Eastenders star Himesh Patel) wakes up after a mysterious global blackout to find himself in a world where the Beatles never existed. Naturally, he takes credit for all their songs and becomes a huge star. Expect a ‘careful what you wish’ for twist. Oh, and an exciting cameo by Ed Sheeran.
