Watch out for the young Keanu Reeves in Tim Hunter‘s chilling 1986 thriller based on a true story and set among a bunch of teen delinquents in a small American town. When one of them rapes and murders his girlfriend, gang leader Crispin Glover declares it’s everyone’s solemn duty to protect the killer from the law. And he’s stashed away in a safe house occupied by one-legged biker Dennis Hopper.

Nervy, abrasive stuff with no heroes or happy endings.
