Refreshingly, Todd Douglas Miller‘s revelatory 50th anniversary documentary about the 1969 Moon landing eschews talking head interviews and narration, telling the story solely through repurposed archive footage – including some pristine 70mm sequences that have never been seen before.
The winner of the Special Jury Award for Editing at Sundance, it’s probably best avoided by swivel-eyed, tinfoil-helmeted conspiracy theorists who insist the whole thing was staged.
