The Slapstick Festival’s packed weekend of mirth is also upon us. Grab those tickets now if you fancy anything, as they’re selling out fast.
Should you be as overjoyed as we are at the prospect of the Year of the Rat, you’ll be delighted to know that cinemas are getting into the swing of the Chinese New Year for the first time. Action-packed blockbuster The Rescue is receiving a fairly wide national release. Locally, the Bristol Bad Film Club has teamed up with the Bristol Odeon to screen a couple of new HK action flicks that wouldn’t otherwise see the inside of a cinema round these parts. Don’t worry – all these films are being shown with English subtitles.
