Bristol’s Week in Film: October 18-24 2019

It’s a big week for Aardman as A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon finally opens in cinemas nationwide. In other semi-local news, reclusive Chris Morris (a Bristol University zoology graduate, y’know) makes a rare public appearance for Q&As after two screenings of his new film The Day Shall Come at the Watershed on Friday. Grab your tickets now as the first one has slready sold out. (For details see the listing in Still Going Strong below)

Also likely to pack ’em in are Bristol Film Festival’s three spooky screenings at Arnos Vale cemetery on Thursday. Indeed, Ghostbusters has already sold out, but tickets are still available for the other two.

There are previews of Ken Loach’s new film Sorry We Missed You, with a satellite Q&A, at several local cinemas on Wednesday.

The Cities, Future Cities and Film season continues at the Watershed this week too, concluding on Monday with the pertinent What is Democracy? and a debate.
