After three quiet weeks of trying to coax punters gently back into cinemas with old movies, the industry unleashes a flurry of new releases this week. These are led by the first major film since March: road rage thriller Unhinged, starring Russell Crowe. If that’s not to your taste, alternatives include well-received astronaut drama Proxima, WWII romance Summerland with Gemma Arterton, kiddle animation 100% Wolf, demonic possession flick The Vigil and the monochrome edition of Oscar winner Parasite.
Locally, there are also more cinemas to choose from – three to be precise – as the Everyman opens its doors again on Friday.
