New Film Releases: July 5-11 2019

Spider-Man: Far From Home is this week’s mandatory superhero movie. Those who’ve had more than their fill of lycra may prefer the eagerly anticipated folk horror Midsommar, splendid ’70s-set gay porn horror Knife + Heart or the 4K reissue of Nic Roeg’s great Don’t Look Now.

Elsewhere, John Boorman comes to the Watershed to talk about his under-appreciated Point Blank, The Marriage of Figaro is beamed live to Millennium Square, Queer Vision returns as part of the Pride celebrations, and the Cineworld in Hengrove is showing a double-bill of Groundhog Day and Groundhog Day. Geddit?!
