Kiki + panel discussion

Director
Sara Jordenö
Certificate
No Cert
Running Time
96 mins

A spin-off of the Big Apple’s gay ballroom scene (who knew?), Kiki is a supportive and empowering scene-within-a-scene for vogueing black LGBTQ youth. Swedish artist and filmmaker Sara Jordenö‘s documentary delivers all the anticipated flamboyant performance, but also digs a little deeper into the backgrounds of these often marginalised and vulnerable people.

This screening is presented by the Palace International Film Festival and Film Feels and is followed by a panel discussion with Clare Lowe (producer of Wig in a Box Promotions, a Bristol-based promotion company championing queer arts), Linda Devo (member of Kiki Bristol) and Zozo 007 and Aysha 007 (‘aunties’ of the Bristol Ballroom Community).
