Sarah Barton‘s 2017 documentary Defiant Lives explores the rise of the disability rights movement in the US, Britain and Australia.
It’s screened as part of a free, day-long Untold Stories: Disability Activism in Bristol event, which includes poetry, talks and discussions, its aim being “to bring people together to explore the histories, untold stories and different meanings of disability and activism in our city.” Although admission is free, you need to book tickets in advance here.
