Bristol’s week in film: January 10-16 2020

The awards-bound 1917 is this week’s saturation release, though Uncut Gems is also well worth a look. This being another Netflix release, it’s only showing at the Watershed this week.

Elsewhere, those lovely folks at the Bristol Bad Film Club are bringing Nicolas Cage’s stand-in to town, Bruno Dumont pitches up to talk about his latest bizarre TV series Coincoin and the Extra-Humans, and there’s an early preview of Weathering With You – Japan’s official entry to the Best International Feature Film Oscar category – as part of a double-bill with director Makoto Shinkai previous feature Your Name.
