In the first of the Slapstick Festival‘s two big events at Bristol Cathedral, comedian and writer Shappi Khorsandi celebrates the golden age of silent comedy’s overlooked female stars. The programme comprises short films starring the likes of Mabel Normand (pictured), Louise Fazenda, Dorothy Devore and Gale Henry, with live musical accompaniment from the European Silent Screen Virtuosi featuring Guenter A.
