Ready Player One
Gamer takes on evil corporation to win control of a virtual world in Spielberg's dystopian sci-fi
Spielberg’s Ready Player One and Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs lead this week’s new releases. There are also previews of the unusually noiseless if not exactly serene horror flick A Quiet Place at multiplexes on Easter Monday and Thursday. Additionally, the Everyman has a preview of gay teen romcom Love, Simon on Thursday.
If, as the forecast seems to suggest, it pisses down for all or part of the Easter holiday, parents will be seeking ways to keep their hellspawn quiet for a couple of hours (Surely “entertain the little darlings”? – Ed). So partly in recognition of the fact that our film listings still aren’t quite as user-friendly as they could be (we’re assured technicians are working on this day and night), we’ve gathered together all the kiddie-friendly movies showing this week.
As usual, go here for our comprehensive film listings.
