Tehran Taboo
A rotoscope animation about sexual hypocrisy in Iran
After a fairly quiet week, we’ve got a trio of big releases competing for box office supremacy. There’s the self-explanatory Johnny English Strikes Again, the third remake of A Star is Born and yet another Marvel movie, Venom, in 2D and 3D.
If you prefer to enjoy your movies al fresco, there are outdoor screenings at Arnos Vale Cemetery and Ashton Court this week.
Elsewhere, we’ve got plenty of enticing one-off screenings and events, from the return of Shextreme, the fourth annual film festival celebrating woman in extreme sports and adventure, to the Everyman’s late night showing of the peerless Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure – a film from which an entire generation learnt everything they know about history.
