Halloween: 40th anniversary + intro

Director
John Carpenter
Certificate
15
Running Time
106 mins

A digitally restored and reamastered print of John Carpenter’s oft-deconstructed and much-parodied original Halloween flick from 1978. At the time, this was the most profitable independent film ever made (Budget: $500,000. Gross: $50 million). Bore your buddies with the knowledge that Michael Myers’ mask was adapted from a William Shatner one, and not only was this Jamie Lee Curtis’s screen debut, but she was also the only ‘teenage girl’ in the film who was actually a teenager when it was shot.

This 40th anniversary screening is preceded by a recorded intro by John Carpenter.
