Detective Pikachu (released in 2D and 3D, obviously) is this week’s big release. If you find yourself able to contain your excitement at the prospect of the first live-action Pokémon flick, other new films include High Life, Claire Denis’s foray into science fiction with RPatz; The Hustle, a gender-swap remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels; and the vintage Aretha Franklin performance Amazing Grace, which she fought tooth and nail to suppress while she was alive.
We also have another impressive selection of event cinema, director/star Q&As and one-off screenings – plus the conclusion of the Watershed’s comprehensive Hirokazu Kore-eda season and the start of the Everyman’s Music Film Festival.
Follow the links below for more info, trailers and screening times, and go here for our comprehensive film listings.
