A mixed triple bill of contemporary ballet, comprising two recent works and a world premiere.

Christopher Wheeldon‘s Within the Golden Hour is based on seven couples separating and intermingling, to music by Vivaldi and Bosso. Revived for the first time, Crystal Pite‘s Flight Pattern uses a large dance ensemble and Górecki’s familiar music from his Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (as recently revisited by Beth Gibbons). In between them is Medusa – a new work created by the acclaimed Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

The programme is broadcast live on May 16, with encore screenings to follow.
