The third mutt flick to be adapted from books by pooch-fiction king W. Bruce Cameron is a direct sequel to A Dog’s Purpose and unrelated to A Dog’s Way Home.
Woofing all the way to the bank are TV director Gail Mancuso and returning cast members Josh Gad (talking dog voice) and Dennis Quaid (human). This time, the endlessly reincarnated Bailey (Gad) prepares to cark it once again and promises human companion Ethan (Quaid) that in his next life he’ll track down and protect the old chap’s recently snatched granddaughter, CJ.
