Bristol’s week in film: July 17-23 2020

Week two of Bristol’s gradual reopening and cinematic comfort food dominates the menu once again. Literally so in the ‘big’ release: Notting Hill bakery romance Love Sarah.

Elsewhere you’ll find loads of old musicals and romcoms (both Four Weddings and Notting Hill – they do spoil us), but there’s a smattering of stronger fare amid the reissues, including Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Shining and Aliens.

Also back this week are encore screenings of some of the most successful recent event cinema shows, including three National Theatre Live performances and that 25th anniversary Riverdance hooferama.
