The 2012 film that launched the hugely successful Hunger Games franchise adapted from the dystopian YA novels by Suzanne Collins, who has a remarkable talent for coming up with especially silly character names.
Should you need reminding, this is the one that introduced Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who volunteers to take her younger sister’s place in Panem’s televised Hunger Games: a contest in which two teens from each of 12 districts are selected at random to fight to the death.
