Unique restaurant closes after 14 years
A Bristol restaurant that also had an on-site art gallery has closed its doors after 14 years.
Steak of the Art opened on Cathedral Walk in the Harbourside in 2012 just after M&S Food had left Millennium Promenade a few hundred yards away.
The restaurant quietly served some of the best steak in the city within their unique restaurant-cum-gallery.

Steak of the Art previously also had a restaurant on Churchill Way in Cardiff, which closed in 2025.
Spokesperson Laurence Phillips confirmed the closure of their Bristol site to Bristol24/7 in an email.
“Yes, sadly it’s now closed,” Phillips wrote.
“NI increases, minimum wage increases, energy cost increases, business rate increases, food / drink price rises… the list goes on.
“Just unsustainable. Results in another empty unit and loss of jobs.”
