New Film Releases: October 19-25 2018

Another Halloween flick for (almost) Halloween. D’ya see what they did there? This one sees the return of Jamie Lee Curtis and bears the John Carpenter seal of approval. Elsewhere, Michael Moore puts the boot into Donald Trump in Fahrenheit 11/9 and Gerard Butler saves the Russian president in Hunter Killer.

The Wildscreen festival continues over the weekend, while the Bristol Film Festival’s autumn season brings us Top Gun beneath Concorde, a day of crim-themed screenings in the holding cell of the former Bridewell cop shop, and Carmen on the Lake in All Saints Church.

Young adult novel adaptation The Hate U Give previews from Monday, while the Queen movie Bohemian Rhapsody shows from Wednesday. If you’re really keen, the Vue chain is offering the opportunity to watch this one at one minute past midnight.
