The Martian/Cloverfield writer and The Cabin in the Woods writer/director Drew Goddard has a bash at the Hateful Eight/Clue-type thriller bringing together seven strangers, each bearing a secret, at the eponymous run-down Lake Tahoe hotel in the 1960s.
Mad Men‘s John Hamm plays a vacuum cleaner salesman, who’s joined by Jeff Bridges‘ dodgy priest, Chris Hemsworth‘s cult leader, Cynthia Erivo‘s former singer, young concierge Lewis Pullman and Dakota Johnson‘s southern felon with her sister Cailee Spaeny. Expect the least starry members of the cast to check out first – unless they pull a ‘Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea‘.
