Can Winston Churchill help prevent WWIII? That’s right: Gary Oldman is cast as an admiral in this Hunt for Red October-esque action thriller based on the 2012 novel Firing Point by Don Keith and retired naval officer George Wallace.
The pleasingly daft premise is that the Russian President is captured by a rogue Russkie general. Now the Americans must save the day, and indeed the world, as they always do. They’re led by untested Cap’n Gerard Butler, who’s in command of a sophisticated ‘hunter killer’ sub that’s bristling with nukes.
