Silent 1925 WWI epic directed by King Vidor and starring matinee idol John Gilbert as a bone-idle rich kid who joins the US Army and is shipped off to France, where he befriends two working class soldiers, finds love and loses a leg.
Now regarded as one of the great anti-war films, it’s screened at the Curzon with a recorded orchestral score by Carl Davies.
