Young Bristol announced as new partner of 224 Youth Zone
224 Youth Zone has announced Young Bristol as a new strategic partner, a move set to strengthen youth provision and widen opportunities for young people across south Bristol.
The partnership brings together two organisations with deep roots in the city and a shared commitment to supporting children and young people.
By combining 224 Youth Zone’s open-access youth work and new purpose-built facility with Young Bristol’s expertise in outdoor education, adventure activities and employability programmes, the collaboration aims to offer a more joined-up and inclusive experience.
Young Bristol is a long-established youth organisation working across the city through community-based youth work, mobile services, outdoor learning and employability programmes, with a strong focus on building confidence, resilience and life skills.

Young Bristol has been named as a new strategic partner of 224 Youth Zone
As part of the partnership, Young Bristol will deliver outdoor and adventure-based activities linked to 224 Youth Zone, including climbing, canoeing, kayaking and residential experiences.
It will also act as the preferred provider for adventure and outdoor learning, giving young people access to safe, engaging and aspirational activities both inside the Youth Zone and beyond.
Matt Justice, chief executive of 224 Youth Zone, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with Young Bristol.
“Their experience, values and commitment to youth work align strongly with our own, and this partnership will play an important role in shaping the opportunities available to young people through 224 Youth Zone.”
Lee Williams, chief executive of Young Bristol, added: “At Young Bristol, we’ve seen firsthand how access to the outdoors has the power to transform lives — building confidence, improving physical and mental wellbeing, and empowering young people to reach new possibilities.
“ This exciting partnership with 224 Youth Zone will open more opportunities for young people across South Bristol.”

The new facility is expected to support thousands of young people aged eight to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs.
The announcement comes as 224 Youth Zone prepares to open this year, with construction nearing completion and a major recruitment drive now underway.
