From the chaotic cardboard boat race and global music performances to the spectacle of dozens of competitors scrambling along a greasy pole to grab a flag, thousands of people attended the Harbour Festival at the weekend for what organisers described as their “most ambitious” edition yet.

The festival celebrates Bristol’s maritime history and harbour, as well as showcasing our city’s talent and heritage.
