Traditional Vietnamese food and drinks at new cafe
Traditional Vietnamese food and drinks can be enjoyed at Banh-Mi Caphe.
The new opening on North Street serves traditional banh-mi sandwiches with fillings of grilled char sui pork, grilled lemongrass chicken and grilled lemongrass tofu alongside Vietnamese-style drip coffee, made with a slow drip method.
All their ingredients are sourced from Vietnam and freshly made on site at 181 North Street almost opposite the Six Sisters murals.
is needed now More than ever
Banh-Mi Caphe is from the same family team behind Viet Kitchen which has branches on Cotham Hill and Stokes Croft.
“We felt like North Street was missing an Asian street food vibe,” said Mimi from Banh-Mi Caphe.
“It’s such a great area and we wanted to give it a go and bring something different.”

There was already quite a buzz around the cafe when I arrived on a recent morning, with customers saying they had been excited for it to open when they saw the sign go up.
Mimi suggested trying the blended coconut coffee which is made using coconut cream and condensed milk, and is very popular in Vietnam.
The coffee, served cold, has a chocolatey, cacao flavour, enhanced by the coconut cream and sweetness of condensed milk.
The Banh-Mi Caphe team are hoping to bring something new to south Bristol, and are feeling positive that North Street is a great place to showcase their traditional Vietnamese food and drinks.
