Brooklyn-born Polly Maggoo (Dorothy McGowan in her one and only film role) suddenly becomes a supermodel in Paris, where she’s pursued by the likes of a TV interviewer (Philippe Noiret) and a lovelorn Ruritanian prince (Sami Frey).

For his enjoyably eccentric 1966 feature debut, US expat William Klein drew on his experiences as a vogue photographer to send up the swinging sixties French fashion industry.
