Pub reopens with new name following £400,000 refurbishment
A popular pub in Southmead has reopened with a new name following a £416,000 refurbishment.
The Union Arms on Greystoke Avenue was formerly known as the Treble Chance.
Paul Roberts, who has a decade-long background of working in hospitality, will operate the pub with his partner Claire on behalf of the Proper Pubs group.
The pub now has brand new flooring, five flat screen televisions for streaming live sports and a newly added garden area that can seat up to 60 people at any given time.
Roberts said: “I have loved seeing this incredible transformation come to life.
“I’m so proud to be the one opening the doors to both new and familiar faces.
“The finished look is terrific, and I know customers are going to love it.”
The pub also has a packed entertainment schedule, including a weekly quiz and a darts league on Monday evenings.
Customers can also come along to live music every Friday and Saturday.
In the future, Roberts hopes to extend a helping hand to the wider community by organising food collections for the local foodbank and supporting other charity events across Bristol.
