The final two units at Cargo 2 have been transformed into a butchers from award-winning organic farmer Luke Hasell.
At Meat Box, shoppers can expect thick-cut Barnsley lamb chops and 30- to 40-day dry aged pasture fed steaks, alongside Sunday roast favourites, handmade organic burgers, mince and much more.
“Meat Box is all about ethically sourced meat that’s traceable and damn tasty to boot,” said Hasell, also part of Eat Drink Bristol Fashion and Valley Fest, which he hosts on his farm overlooking Chew Valley Lake.
“Meat Box is just that: a small but perfectly formed butchers in a box.”
Hasell and his team promise to source the best pasture-fed, outdoor reared and organic meat alongside charcuterie and hams from some of Bristol and Somerset’s finest suppliers, with customers able to choose their cuts from the cold store which has a window to Wapping Wharf.
The butchers has opened just in time for Cargo 2’s patio party from 6pm until late on Friday, November 10 which will see traders come together and celebrate with a whole host of special deals on the day.
