Friska to open fifth Bristol cafe
Friska are preparing to open their fifth Bristol cafe almost next door to a Costa.
In October last year, Friska was named the nation’s best ethical restaurant at the annual Observer Food Monthly Awards.
The expanding business, which also has plans to expand this year into Birmingham and Manchester, will be opening within the harbourside development opposite Steak of the Art.
It’s rather a barren culinary wasteland in this area of town, with other businesses nearby including Pizza Express and Caffe Gusto.
But footfall is increasing, Brigstow Lounge opened on nearby Millennium Promenade in late-2014 and other smaller independent food and drink businesses are known to be looking into opening in the smaller units overlooking the Floating Harbour.
