15 new food and drink openings in Bristol to look forward to in 2026
The circle of life continues in Bristol’s food and drink world. As one business sadly closes, there is almost always another to take its place.
Here is a list (in alphabetical order) of some new openings to look forward to in 2026:

The first Amorino opened in Paris in 2002 and now has dozens of shops across the world selling its traditional Italian gelato. Its first Bristol store will be opening on Queen’s Road close to the top of Park Street.
The Arjee Bhajee
Signage first appeared in 2024 for this new Indian restaurant on Hotwell Road from the team behind the Arjee Bhajee in Staple Hill. As if one punning name is not enough, Thank Cod For That is also due to open next door.
Bristol Beer Factory taproom
Bristol Beer Factory has already moved its brewing to new, larger premises in the Ashton Gate Trading Estate. Their taproom is due to move to the Old Brewery development on North Street.

Farro
Anyone who has ever visited Bristol Legends-shortlisted Farro knows all about their queue at busy times. So a larger premises alongside their original home would be most welcome.

They are keeping the location a secret for now, but Full Court Press will be moving their roastery into a double-archway unit which will also have a coffee bar to complement their existing cafe on Broad Street in the Old City.
Gather
The team at Scandi-inspired Gather say their cafe “brings a touch of calm to Bristol”. They opened on Park Street in 2024 and could be opening a second site in an as-yet undisclosed location in 2026.
Hotel Gotham
It remains a longshot but Hotel Gotham could finally open in 2026 in the former Guildhall on Small Street. As well as 75 bedrooms and a spa, the five-star hotel will have a restaurant and rooftop terrace bar.

La Totti

Shipping containers
If you think that shipping containers have had their day, then think again. A couple of kiosks at Wapping Wharf are still waiting for tenants, while more are due to be installed overlooking the flaking new artwork on the Centre.

Two Ways
Two Ways will soon have a second home, Two Ways Coffee & Bakes on Bond Street. Its co-owners say their current kitchen in Clifton is now too small to keep producing the food combining their Italian and Turkish roots.

The closure of Woods on Park Street Avenue was one of 2025’s saddest. But it looks to be returning as a late-night bar, applying to serve alcohol until 4am on Friday and 6am on Saturday.
Yakiniku
Japanese barbecue restaurant Yakiniku is coming to College Green. “Flames kiss the meat, smoke tells the story,” says a sign outside the former Co-op. Wagyu beef will be on the menu alongside sushi and Japanese whiskies.
