Wapping Wharf to get juicy new opening

By Martin Booth  Monday Sep 17, 2018

Healthy juices and smoothies will be coming to Wapping Wharf when The Juice Collective moves into the unit at Cargo 1 originally occupied by Lovett Pies.

The Juice Collective was founded in Bath by Emma Frampton, with the shop in a converted shipping container becoming the fledgling business’ first retail space.

Emma and her team were recently seen in Bristol at The Coffee House project coffee festival at the Passenger Shed, and their juices are already stocked in the likes of Convoy Espresso in the Paintworks, Society Cafe on Narrow Quay and online via Farmdrop.

Some of The Juice Collective’s most popular drinks include Green 02 (cucumber, apple, spinach, kale and lemon), “a leafy green juice with a hint of citrus”; Ginger 01 (carrot, apple, ginger and lemon), “a vibrant, antioxidant packed juice with a big hit of ginger”; and Red 01 (beetroot, apple, carrot, ginger and lemon), “a grounding, earthy juice with a hint of sweetness”.

A juice business has been tried once in Wapping Wharf before. But Big Juice – popular in St Nick’s Market – did not last too long in Cargo 2.

After picking up the keys today for the unit on Monday, Emma and her team are confident that they will be ready to open before the end of September.

Emma said: “We are thrilled about moving into Cargo. This marks a real milestone in the business journey of The Juice Collective from a home business through to now opening our first retail space.

“It’s also really lovely to take on the unit from another independent business and a team that we’re good friends with.

“Their progression has meant we have the opportunity to join Cargo which we feel will be a perfect fit for our business.”
