New budget eco cafe opens its doors

By Natalie Sherriff  Wednesday May 3, 2023

A new sustainable cafe has opened its doors in Bristol city centre.

Snackbox on Nelson Street is a new family-run eatery offering breakfast, lunch and dinner to go with buffet-style serving trolleys.

Its fun neon sign, industrial vintage lighting and prime location makes it an attractive place to pick up some quick food or drink.

According to Snackbox managing director, Kate Sprackman, Snackbox prides itself on having an “eco-friendly and sustainable” approach to hospitality.

Their goal is to reduce unnecessary plastic and food waste by allowing customers to fill their own boxes with food.

Snackbox boasts a range of hot snacks and drinks to take away. From vegan sausage rolls to tasty croissants, all at an affordable rate.

Hungry visitors can grab a small or large sustainable lunch box and fill them with the wide variety of pasta, jacket potatoes, beans and salads on offer.

“There is something for everybody here, we wanted to make it as inclusive as possible,” Kate added.

Currently, Snackbox is offering a 20 per cent discount on food and drink for students, NHS staff and blue light workers.

For students, there is also a chance to win lunch by participating in their weekly prize draw.
