Motion ready to reopen
World-renowned nightclub Motion is reopening after moving to a new site.
The opening night on Friday will be headlined by garage duo Y U QT.
Motion’s team describes the event as “a night of forward-thinking selections and no let-ups”.
The club announced in November 2024 that it would be closing the doors of its original site on Avon Street in St Philip’s following the expiration of their lease, even holding a funeral on the day of the closure, coffin and all.
However, funds were quickly raised for ‘Motion 2.0’, and it was soon announced that they would reopen the club at a new site, a stone’s throw away on Victoria Terrace.
About its reopening event, Motion wrote on Instagram: “It’s been a journey getting here, massive love to everyone who’s supported us along the way.
“We can’t wait to see you all on the dancefloor!”
