World famous club confirms return to new home
Motion have finally confirmed that they will reopen later this year.
Just over a month after closing the popular venue on Avon Street, the Motion team have confirmed that they are moving to a new venue.
Announcing their return via Instagram, Motion said their new site on Victoria Avenue will “be a home for Bristol’s nightlife for years to come”.

Last November, the club revealed they were set to close their doors for good following the impending expiration of their lease in July.
Despite offering a bid to the landlords, and receiving huge support from the local community, Motion eventually hosted its final weekend of events in the same month.
However, after quickly launching a fundraiser to back a ‘Motion 2.0’, the club is now set to make a swift return.

The team have also unveiled a new event series, Momentum, which they say will “champion local creatives and independent brands”.
In a post on Instagram, the team added that the new series is their way of “letting the new venue grow organically, just like the early days of Motion. A space for the city’s underground to connect, discover and shape its own future”.
The series kicks off this autumn, with the new venue’s inaugural drum and bass event, and a live headline show from German duo Booka Shade, among the first events in the pipeline.
