An exhibition of paintings, drawings and installation made in response to an investigation of the importance of carbon in life. Starting with a traditional and fundamental study of self-portraiture, looking at surface and texture, reading into the science of life, the images developed are an attempt to think, not only of the viewers own mortality, but to realise that at an atomic level all life is a shared experience.
