Stokes Croft cafe and restaurant closes suddenly
The shutters have remained down for a fortnight, the website no longer exists and the social media channels have all been deleted.
There has been no official confirmation that Ceres on Stokes Croft is no more, but the signs indicate that its closure is permanent.
Ceres was opened in 2016 by experienced chef Dan Ingram, who after living in Melbourne for a number of years wanted to bring a part of the city’s cafe culture to Bristol, having previously tried and failed to find a suitable location in London.
Ceres’ shutters have been closed for a fortnight
Ingram later launched evening meals and facing financial difficulties took the brave decision to go public with his predicament.
He turned to crowdfunding in the hope of raising £9,000 to stay open and deal with a number of “unforeseen costs”.
Bristol24/7 has attempted to contact Ingram on multiple occasions via phone and email but has received no reply.
