Catch 22
One of the most striking buildings in the city centre is now a fish and chip shop.
Catch 22 overlooking College Green currently only offers a takeaway but will soon be opening its restaurant area with table service, daily-changing specials and an alcohol licence.

The menu at the moment features fish options of cod, haddock, plaice or halibut, with other choices including Pieminister pies, burgers and – befitting the Hellenic origins of the restaurant’s owners – Greek and grilled halloumi salad.
The building dates from 1904, with its distinctive mosaic with enamel insets taken on Charles Rickett’s bookbinding for Oscar Wilde’s A House of Pomegranates, a collection of fairy tales published in 1891.
