Ticket To Jam returns to Bristol this month
Self-described as a ‘nomadic music source’, Ticket to Jam is a moving recording studio which travels around the Europe and the UK in a bus. Capturing live sessions to share with people all over the world, the movement travels to meet bands at festivals, on tour or at their home.
Since their beginning in 2019, the movement has recorded over 200 Live Sessions, an impressive feat considering this was through two years of Covid-related issues.
The studio will be returning to Bristol for 5 days; from 30 August to 3 September. Bands can book a slot via email to record in the converted bus which is now a soundproofed audio and video studio.
Unlike a normal recording studio, the travelling studio don’t only record audio but also videos. At the heart of the movement, the team film Live Sessions with bands, which are shared on their YouTube page.
Also differing from other studios, Ticket to Jam offer low prices, for example £450/track (which includes tracking, mixing, mastering and video editing).
Beginning in 2019, the movement will be bringing their bus to Bristol this month
Recording 1 to 3 tracks will usually take around 3 hours, this includes setting the band up, doing a soundcheck, recording the tracks and uninstalling the band’s set up at the end.
Every musical style, original materials or covers are also welcomed to be recorded on the bus which will be stationed at Moor Beer Co on Days Road.
