Double honours for Bristol tech firm at regional industry awards

By Milan Perera  Monday Nov 24, 2025

The Bristol-founded computer hardware manufacturer Exacta Technologies has won two major honours at the Tech South West Awards 2025.

The tech firm, now entering its 25th year of trading, took home both the Tech Company of the Year and the Growth Award.

The Bristol-based company was recognised for its rapid international expansion, rising turnover and headcount. Furthermore, it was lauded for its leadership in high-performance computing and engineering world-class, scalable technology.

Nick Rogers, chief executive and founder, said: “Our Growth Award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our amazing team.

“Twenty-four years ago, I set out to create a business that builds careers, pioneers technology, and delivers solutions deployed all over the world. To be recognised today for growth on an international scale is incredibly humbling.”

The Tech South West Awards celebrate excellence and innovation across Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Wiltshire.

The event was held at Sandy Park in Exeter, where Exacta also claimed the coveted accolade of Tech Company of the Year.

Exacta manufactures bespoke high performance computer servers and workstations.

What began as a humble operation at a Self-Storage unit in Bristol in 2001 has evolved into a large facility in Emerson Green that produces computer hardware for both sides of the Atlantic.

Rogers added: “We’re thrilled to be named Tech Company of the Year by Tech South West. I’m incredibly proud of my hardworking, innovative team … it’s their talent and determination that make Exacta the company it is today.”

He concluded: “Winning not one but two awards reminds us of how far we’ve come and how far we can go.”

2025 marks a bumper year for Exacta, recording a £16.5m turnover. It was also a particularly poignant year for Rogers, a lifelong Bristol City supporter. The self-confessed Robins tragic saw a dream realised when Exacta was unveiled as the club’s sleeve sponsor.

Rogers also coaches at Ashton FC Juniors and most weekends can be found at Ashton Gate following the fortunes of Bristol City. Exacta will further its sporting involvement next year as sponsor of the Sport category at the Bristol Legends event in 2026.
